Transferring files from PC to Corby 2 using a USB cable

Transferring files from or to your Samsung Corby 2 using a USB cable wouldn't be as easy as transferring files using a card reader, unless you have Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones installed. Normally, you can get this when you download the Samsung Kies software which is 88mb in size. This is used for data backup, transfers, multimedia management and firmware upgrades. If you think you don't need Kies, you can download the Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones separately here.  The USB Driver alone is only 23mb so you get to save 60 mb from your disk.

Another option is going to your phone's settings. I would still advise installing the Samsung USB Driver if you transfer files a lot. But if you do it only once in a while, then this should work fine for you. No installation needed. First, go to SETTINGS>CONNECTIVITY>USB UTILITIES>MASS STORAGE. Then connect your USB. This way, your computer will not detect your phone as a camera device.
